HealthTrim® Matcha Vegan Shake, Part II

We just introduced our newest product, HealthTrim® Matcha Vegan Shake. This unique product takes the power of organic matcha green tea leaves and combines it with sacha inchi, chlorella and other ingredients for a nutritious meal replacement that helps support weight management, sustained energy, and stress reduction.*

As we continue our blog series, we will focus on sacha inchi seeds, a powerful ingredient in HealthTrim Matcha Vegan Shake.

Sacha inchi (Plukenetia volubilis) is a plant native to Peru that produces large, edible seeds rich in protein. Sacha inchi is also known as sacha peanut, jungle peanut, or Inca peanut. The nutrient-dense seeds are often consumed lightly toasted and whole, in protein powder form, or as the extracted oil which is taken as a dietary supplement.

Sacha inchi oil is a rich source of vitamin E and alpha-linolenic acid, a plant-based omega-3 fatty acid found in flaxseed oil. Sacha inchi seeds are a whole food that are easily digestible and provide fiber, iron, amino acids and omega fatty acids for sustained energy.

A study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry in 2002 found that sacha inchi is unusually high in tryptophan, an amino acid essential to the production of serotonin (a nervous system chemical involved in regulating appetite). 1 Sacha inchi may help promote weight loss by increasing serotonin production.

HealthTrim Matcha Vegan Shake, in vanilla or dark chocolate flavors, is a great way to jump-start your weight loss and get your morning started. It can help control appetite which in turn helps the body use fat as an energy source. It also aids in healthy digestion and cleansing. And, it greatly enhances metabolism.

Replace up to two meals a day and use in conjunction with the entire HealthTrim product line to help support your weight management goals. Be sure to consult your healthcare provider prior to use if you are pregnant or nursing or are beginning a weight loss program.
