PUREGen Africa launches PurXcel in Nigeria

PUREGen Africa, Nigeria, recently celebrated the approval and licensure of a new health-promoting technology, called PurXcel, by The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).

PurXcel is a product that delivers clinically effective Tri-Active Technology (bioavailable Glutathione, Superoxide Dismutase, and Aloe Acemannan) in a proprietary blend of 18 complementary ingredients designed to help cleanse, balance and build the body at a cellular level. These six products, some of PURE’s best sellers, will help serve an area with an estimated population of 200 million and a health-conscious, growing middle class. A recent University of Lagos study showed that eighty-six percent of Nigerian students use dietary supplements, a booming market and dynamic opportunity for PURE.

Meet Ben Peter, Vice President of Business Development

Meet Ben Peter, PURE’s Vice President of Business Development for EMEA. Ben joined PURE in December 2018 and oversees the strategic growth of PURE’s Africa, Middle East and European markets.

Ben holds a Ph.D. and an MBA in business management and has over fifteen years’ experience in the finance, pharmaceutical, healthcare, international business and direct selling industries.

Given the support from the PURE leadership team, Ben has been able to finalize plans for the opening of the Nigerian and Ghanaian markets. These two markets officially opened on February 1, 2019. Nigeria is a country of almost 200 million people and has an active direct selling industry. Ghana is a country of almost 30 million people with a fast growing and stable direct selling industry.

Ben enjoys playing and coaching basketball. He had two NCAA conference championship rings as a member of a collegiate coaching staff and other international championship rings.  His other hobbies include traveling, computer programming, teaching and volunteering.
