The PDR – something to talk about!

Did you know that four products by PURE are listed in the Physicians’ Desk Reference (PDR)? It’s only the most widely used reference found in virtually every physician’s office, hospital and pharmacy in the United States. Now that’s something to talk about when educating others about our quality products!

The PDR is a comprehensive reference for drug listings, with a separate section for dietary supplements. The last printing of the book was in 2018, but the digital version, called Prescribers’ Digital Reference (same acronym!), can be found at pdr.net. Check out the GoYin listing here: https://www.pdr.net/full-prescribing-information/GoYin-dietary-supplement-24198. It includes a description, ingredient list, recommended use and a full-color product photo.

In the PDR, you’ll find an explanation of PURE and products by PURE including GoYin, Daily Build, Cleanse (Liquid) and ENERGY which make up our CORE4. You can also find listings for Daily Detox and Metabolic ONE. The inclusion of these products gives PURE an additional boost in the scientific community and helps strengthen your position as an exclusive leader in the distribution of products by PURE.

Thousands of physicians have turned to the PDR as a key reference for over seventy years. It is considered the standard resource. It contains full, FDA-approved drug label information, including warnings and precautions, drug interactions, and hundreds of full-color product images. It also includes nonprescription drugs, dietary supplements and herbs.

It’s exciting to be part of such a prestigious, well-respected publication in the medical community.

Ask the Expert answers your questions

At PURE: People United Reaching Everyone, we have an expert team that is dedicated to answering your product and nutrition questions.

Here are the most popular questions from the previous few weeks. You might find a topic related to a question you have.

Q: How long will a PURE Enrollment Pack last?
A: Enrollment packs come in two sizes. The bigger packs contain almost all the products and the small packs also have a large variety. The enrollment packs are designed for people to who want to build their business and to help people become familiar with the products.  It is hard to tell how long the products in a pack will last.  Most of the products are a monthly supply and some of the products are about half of a month’s supply.  Some people choose to not take all of the products together.  Others may choose to share the products. Generally, we expect people will finish most of the products within 6 months.

Q: Are any of your products recommended for someone who wants to gain weight?
A: To increase weight, one should take a good nutritional supplement that has essential vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. A high-quality protein supplement, antioxidants and bioactive compounds should all be a part of the diet. We suggest taking 360 Complete Shake, GPS Energize, Daily Build, GoYin and Acai superfruit.

Q: What products should I take while I’m on a ketogenic diet?
A: We suggest taking 360 Complete Shake as a source of high protein, vitamins and minerals. It contains 21g protein, 11g fiber and low (50g) carbohydrates per serving.

Q: Do any of the products contain strawberry?
A: ENERGY – Watermelon contains strawberry.

Q: Can SleepTrim and CalciuMK+ be taken at the same time since they both benefit sleep?
A: Yes, these products can be taken together. However, they have different mechanisms of working in the body. For best results, we suggest taking SleepTrim with dinner and CalciuMK+ after dinner.

Q: What products should be taken after the 28-Day Detox?
A: We suggest taking Daily Build, GoYin, CalciuMK+, Probiotic and Immune6. These products are basic supplements for daily use. You may take the superfruits, Organic Sulfur, Mila and the GPS line for your more targeted health needs.

Vacation at your healthiest

It’s officially summer and that means it’s time to pack your bags and explore the world, or your own backyard!

Whether you are a weekend warrior or an international traveler, the adventure is good for your health. Traveling relaxes your body, challenges your mind and broadens your horizons. Travel also comes with its stressors, so it’s a good idea to take care of yourself while you’re away.

Take control of your health while traveling.

Hydration: Our bodies are made up of about 60% water, so the importance of drinking water cannot be stressed enough. Water flushes out toxins and provides cushioning for our joints. Being in the dry air of a plane, combined with the increase in altitude, contributes to a loss of moisture levels and dehydration. Drink at least eight ounces of water per hour and avoid alcohol and caffeine as they both dehydrate your body. Try adding a Hydrate stick to plain or coconut water for B vitamins, potassium and electrolytes.

Extra Activity: Don’t stray from your fitness routine while you travel. If you have an afternoon flight, get up early and squeeze in a walk or extra workout. Since you’ll be sitting on your flight, wear comfortable shoes and walk the terminal to make sure you get your steps in. Whether your flight is four or 18 hours, make sure you get up and walk the aisle during your flight. After landing and settling in, visit the hotel gym.

Sunscreen: Don’t leave home without it. Look for sunscreens with both UVA and UVB protection. When selecting one, buy a minimum of SPF 30+. If you are going to be in the sun, apply sunscreen 30 minutes before exposure, and be sure to reapply every two hours.1

Stress Management: Allowing time for the commute to the airport, long security lines and potential flight delays can add stress which weakens our immune systems. It can be difficult waiting around, but practicing a bit of patience goes a long way.

  • Allow plenty of time to get to the airport and be prepared for long lines.
  • Check the weather and keep an eye on your flight to ensure you don’t miss any important notifications, such as delays and gate changes.
  • Remember to focus on deep belly breaths when you feel tensions rise.
  • Pack GoYin On the Go to help bring your body into balance and enhance your well-being*
  • Listen to music, get lost in a good book, pack plenty of activities for the kids, and remember, sometimes things just come up, so allow for some flexibility.
  • And if you’re ever stuck wondering how to make the most out of a difficult travel situation, this guy got stuck in the airport overnight and made a music video. Enjoy the laughs, which also relieve tension.

Plan meals in advance: Travel with your own food. Not only can you save money but you can watch your calorie intake while making sure you eat the most nourishing foods. Bring some low sugar, high protein bars, jerky, raw nuts, dried fruit and an apple and peanut butter. Pack a sandwich with chicken or turkey on a gluten-free wrap and plenty of veggies. Eat before your flight, too.

Sleep: Don’t wait to pack the night before. You need a solid 7-8 hours of sleep. Research has shown that skimping on sleep makes you even more susceptible to catching a virus. When you’re on the plane, take a pillow and eye mask to catch up on some sleep. Bring along some SleepTrim  capsules to help relax your body mentally and physically.* This is best when taken at night.

Take Your Vitamins: Daily Build is a must. With 23 essential vitamins and minerals, Daily Build provides broad spectrum antioxidant protection as well as cardiovascular, blood glucose, brain and nervous system and immune support.*

One more tip: Wash your hands regularly and sanitize your area often. Travel with wipes to clean off the tray table, head rest and arm rest on the plane. Carry our travel-size, 2 oz. bottle of Skin Defense to spray on your hands to keep them clean. Also, bring your own pillow and/or blanket as germs tend to lurk on the ones provided on the plane.

Staying on top of your health will ensure that you’re not spending your hard-earned vacation fighting off a cold and missing time with your family.

Everyone has their own tips and tricks, so let us know on Facebook how you stay healthy when traveling during the summer.

Getting to know Gray Gaulding

I recently had the chance to chat with Gray Gaulding, PURE Independent Business Owner (IBO) and NASCAR driver. Since it’s NASCAR Day, I thought what better time to get to know this athlete a bit better.

Gray has a passion for the sport, for the fans and for giving back. He is a pleasure to talk to and really knows his sport. He represents the PURE brand on and off the track each week and takes the products to improve his health and his performance.

Did you play with cars as a child? “Yes, I loved playing with cars. I played with Matchbox cars until I was about 10 years old, racing them around on the floor. I still have bags and bags of them in my house.”

What words do you think best describe you? “Happy! I would say I am happy 99 percent of the time. I am outgoing and humble and I tell a good joke every now and then.”

What’s the allure of racing for you? “Definitely the adrenaline rush you get when racing against the best competitors.”

If you could have any passenger in your car, who would it be, and why? “I would want Tiger Woods with me. I love golf and Tiger, in my mind, is the greatest athlete around. To ride with him would definitely be a bucket list item.”

Do you ever talk to yourself inside your car? What do you say? “Ha, you don’t want to know what I say! I can get pretty frustrated on the track because things don’t always go the way you expect them to.  Other times I’ll motivate myself, saying things like, “This is the time!’”

What is the biggest compliment you’ve ever received? “Once an older fan told me that I’m the most approachable race car driver he’s ever met. He said I’m humble and easy to talk to. This came from a fan who has been to numerous races and has met many drivers.”

If you had a day off to do anything, besides racing, what would you do? “We live in North Carolina and like to spend time at Lake Norman. My girlfriend and I like to go fishing and we bring the radio and just relax. Being outside is great for just chilling.”

If you could design your own racetrack, what would it look like? “The oval track is standard. I would create a road course with a fan zone, close to the garage. I would have concerts, bars, restaurants; yeah, my racetrack would cost the most money.”

Do you have a favorite racing story? “Yes! I still remember my first ride at the age of 18. It was Jeff Gordon’s last ride, efore he retired. I got to ride with him which is a day I’ll never forget.”

For those who can’t risk getting a speeding ticket, describe the feeling you get driving at speeds we can’t even imagine? “Well, when you’re going 200 miles per hour, there’s a great amount of danger at stake. As a race car driver, you don’t think of those things. You’re 3 inches from another car and anything could happen … a crash, you could blow a tire, or go airborne.”

If the president of NASCAR was an elected position, would you run and why? “I would absolutely run for president. Having been around racing my whole life, I know I’d be able to make the sport better for racers and the families. I consider myself a great leader, not a follower. I listen to others, and that would mean paying close attention to the needs of current drivers and fans. I wish that would happen!”

Gray’s favorite products by PURE are the GPS line, ENERGY and GoYin. We are thrilled to have him as part of our PURE family!

Good luck on the track!

Do you have a favorite drink using PURE products? Don’t keep it a secret.

Get into the swing of network marketing

I’ve casually golfed a few times in my life, though I couldn’t tell you what my handicap is. I can play a mean game of miniature golf; I’m a pro at hitting the ball through the rotating windmill every time.

I’ve played enough of both games to be familiar with the equipment, some of the rules and the importance of skill development. Today on National Golf Day, let’s take a look at some golfing terminology and how it relates to network marketing.

Can you read the greens?

  1. Golf Clubs – You can have a maximum of 14 clubs in your golf bag, according to the USGA. It’s important to choose which club to use for which shot. Likewise, products by PURE target specific needs so you want to choose correctly. Just as one selects their clubs to their shot; customize the products by PURE to your body’s needs.
  2. Caddie – They don’t just clean clubs, replace divots and carry your gear, they may advise on club selection or recommend strategies. Likewise, your upline is your mentor and is available to offer advice. They’ve walked in your footsteps and know the tools you need to succeed. A good caddie can be worth several strokes a round; a good leader can propel your business to unimaginable heights.
  3. Grand Slam – This is when a golfer wins four major championships in the same year. I like to compare this to our CORE4 set of products, HealthTrim® Cleanse, GoYin, Daily Build and ENERGY, which together form a strong foundation and help set the stage for optimal wellness. Winning four championships fuels your career; CORE4 fuels your body with key nutrients to maximize you.
  4. Grain – Talk about details! Golfers can be very adept at knowing which way the grain runs in grass, as it can affect the direction a putt breaks. When you are that in tune with your customer’s needs and wants, you will win them over. Don’t try to go against the grain in golf or your business.
  5. Mechanics – How you swing and hold the club may be basic principles, but they play a big part in your game. As a network marketer, you have tools at your disposal to help you work on your swing. How you hold the club is just as important as the way you contact your prospects, share product benefits and follow up.
  6. Follow-through – This action in a golf swing will help you gain proper tempo and the correct finishing point. How about in your business? Do you consistently finish strong? Building momentum in your follow-through will help you win the game; building strong relationships in your business will open many doors.
  7. Press – This is when you try and hit the ball harder than usual. Don’t overdo it. Your outcome is dependent on your actions, no one else’s. In golf, there’s no one to blame for a shot except yourself; in network marketing, be yourself; be natural.

It’s time to tee up — are you ready? Next time you play golf, think about how it can help with your PURE business. Conversely, next time you pitch your story to a customer, get some inspiration from your game of golf.

The Masters begin on April 11. Apply some of golfing’s lessons to your business. Find your strengths and play to those. You just might make some birdies!

PURE featured in Direct Selling News

PURE was highly praised in the January edition of Direct Selling News for its steady growth in both sales force and revenue in the past two years. This edition is titled, “What you focus on grows”, which so aptly describes the transformation PURE has experienced in just a short amount of time.

The article, “A Promising Path for PURE”, recaps PURE’s growth from the creation of GoYin to the formation of PURE. Daren Hogge, PURE CEO, helped start GoYin several years ago and it eventually merged with another company in 2008, a company founded by Dae Geun Jung, now Founder and Chairman of the Board for PURE. PURE then underwent a rebrand in 2017 to become PURE: People United Reaching Everyone.

In the article, Daren Hogge refers to the HI-ACT principles as how he wants to build the company and how he wants its IBOs to build their businesses. HI-ACT is an acronym for the principles of Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Commitment and Trustworthiness.

“We put in some founding principles that were pillars,” Daren explains. “One of them was the philosophy of our products that have come to life through the CORE4 — to cleanse the body, balance the body, build the body and provide focus for the body. All the products we developed, we created to make sure they fit into those categories and help to deliver Whole Health. The other principles we came up with are what I term the HI-ACT.”

The article continues to talk about how we’ve modernized our products to make them more mainstream with what consumers see in the marketplace — from the redesign of the GoYin bottle for our tenth anniversary celebration to bolder ENERGY packaging. And just recently, our GPS performance line was recognized by Informed Sports Certification as being safe for use by professional, collegiate and Olympic athletes.

Other notable recognition:

  • Strong leadership in its Independent Business Owners (IBOs)
  • 7-Day and 28-Day Detox Programs
  • CORE4 products featured in the 2018 Physicians’ Desk Reference
  • PURE Rank Bonus may be one of the most lucrative in the industry
  • Partnership with Disabled American Veterans (DAV)
  • Global presence with new markets in Western Africa and Thailand
  • Partnership with Gray Gaulding, PURE IBO and NASCAR driver

Going forward, Daren’s strategy is to continue to look for strong leaders who share the company’s HI-ACT principles and want to share them with like-minded individuals. “I believe that we have only scratched the surface here in the U.S.,” adds Daren. “I think we’ll see quadruple growth over the next few years from the projections we set two years ago — and we’ve exceeded — and where we’re headed over the next four years.”

PURE will keep the momentum going continuing their commitment to deliver Whole Health with high-quality products for physical health, opportunity for financial health, relationships for personal health and opportunities for social impact for philanthropic health.

Meet Lynn and Sherry Pippen, PURE IBOs

Lynn and Sherry Pippen joined PURE in 2015 after Lynn was approached by a dear friend whom he had served with in the military.

Lynn is a Platinum Director with PURE and a retired U.S. Army Colonel. Sherry is a general dentist and owner of Oak Lane Family Dental Clinic in Mississippi.

The Pippen’s weren’t interested in taking on another business venture, but they saw value in the PURE business. They chose to invest in the company should they decide later to pursue a business.

Physical fitness has always been a big part of their lives. Lynn maintained a high level of physical activity during his tenure in the Army and continued this into his retirement and second career.  However, he had compounded problems with his shoulder, back and knees due to various athletic- and service-related injuries. With the advice of his orthopedic physician, he gave up his love for long-distance running.

Lynn shared his health issues with his new PURE family who then shared the products with him. Lynn started taking the products and subsequently changed his lifestyle. He was able to return to jogging after being told that he would never run again. He beat the odds and ended up competing in eight half marathons and two half ironman triathlons.

Sherry and Lynn have both seen spikes in their energy levels. They “turned back the clock” in many ways. With their confidence in products by PURE, they began sharing them with others, through they were not yet consistent with building their business. They came to value and admire the leadership in their upline who encouraged them to attend a PURE event in Dallas, Texas in October 2017.  After meeting the leaders face-to-face and experiencing the sheer “class” of the company, they decided to get serious about their PURE business.

Lynn says, “Our story isn’t a fast-paced, knock-your-socks-off story of growth straight to the top, but Sherry and I love and believe in PURE.  Our advice to IBOs is to remember the value in what PURE offers and to be resilient in the quest for your business goals.  Latch on to your leadership team and allow them to guide you to victory.  Many say that we’re in the health and wellness industry, but Sherry and I would argue that we’re in the business of improving lives.  As long as that continues to be our goal, rank advancements will come. Above all, our prayer is that people will see us as a light for our savior, Jesus Christ, and a beacon of hope for their health and financial needs.  PURE offers us a chance to share compassion with the masses as we’ve never had before.”

Lynn’s favorite products are GoYin and Organic Sulfur; Sherry likes Metabolic ONE.

Don’t just make resolutions, achieve them

Welcome to 2019! Are you one of the many Americans who make New Year’s resolutions? Are you successful at achieving them? Research says that more than 50% of people who make New Year’s resolutions generally keep them for the first two weeks, but by the end of the first month that number declines and at six months many people have completely abandoned those resolutions.

Any guesses as to what the number-one New Year’s resolution was in 2018? Losing weight topped the list. How many of you agree and even have it on the top of your resolution list for 2019? I know it has frequently topped my list. Do you wonder how and if you can succeed with your resolution? You can, and I’ll explain.

Dieting versus healthy eating

Losing weight can feel like a never-ending cycle. Sometimes it seems like you try every “diet” plan and workout on the market, but they turn out to be failures. There is a difference between healthy eating and dieting. Dieting makes you hungry. Diets are temporary and often unrealistic.

A philosophy of ours at PURE, called Cleanse, Balance, Build, Focus, teaches that when you give the body what it needs, it will be able to do what it was created to do. In other words, if you feed your body health and wellness, it will provide health and wellness in return. If you feed the body garbage, well, that’s what will come out.

Cleanse, Balance, Build and Focus with CORE4

Begin with a strong foundation. The products in CORE4 help set the stage for optimal wellness. Start by cleansing your body of internal and environmental toxins. Next balance your mood and stress levels. Then, build key nutrients and provide focus and mental well-being.

  • Cleanse your body with HealthTrim® Cleanse. Our world is swarming with toxins. They are in the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat. And, they’re not just physical. We have mental toxins, too. Check out PURE’s Detox Program below.
  • Balance your body with GoYin. Every system in the body strives to maintain status quo. When something is out of balance, our bodies will do what’s necessary to get that balance back. This isn’t just about physical balance, but emotional, mental and spiritual balance, too.
  • Build your body with Daily Build. We must provide our body with the basic nutrients needed to be strong and healthy. Also, one size NEVER fits all. You must find and give your body what it needs to be healthy.
  • Focus with ENERGY. You are doing this for you; not for someone else. You must get healthy for you, and you can do this when you focus.

PURE Detox Program

A way to jump-start the cleanse/detoxification process is to start with the Detox program and then you go into CORE4. Or, if you started with the CORE4 and you are ready to take your detoxing a step further then we recommend participating in PURE’s Detox program. Successful weight loss consists of healthy eating and regular physical activity. Jump-start your journey with a combination of herbs and botanicals that help facilitate the removal of toxins from the body.

Begin with a 7-day detox, or if you desire a deeper detox, continue with the 28-day program for a full body reset. Once you see the difference it makes, you’ll be hooked. This program works because you’re feeding your body plant-based, whole food nutrition. You are eating and creating sustainable habits. You will experience life-changing results

Join Team28 with people who have made the same resolutions as you. Read success stories and frequently asked questions, find delicious, detox-friendly recipes and more. Submit before and after photos to win prizes.

It’s time to get your health back on track and support your weight loss journey. In just one week, you’ll remove harmful toxins, experience better digestion, have more energy, improve your mental clarity, have fewer sugar cravings and see a reduction in body fat.*

This is your year. It’s your time not just to lose the weight, but to become the healthy person you were created to be. Use PURE’s philosophy combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise to lose weight and keep it off. Make that your resolution for 2019.

Weight loss results may vary based on individual users. Products by PURE are designed to be used in conjunction with a sensible diet and regular exercise. Persons interested in using products by PURE or programs to maintain healthy weight should consult with their health care provider prior to beginning any new nutrition and exercise program.

In the fast lane with Gray Gaulding

Gray Gaulding, a professional race car driver and PURE Independent Business Owner (IBO) takes his nutrition seriously. You could say he puts it in the driver’s seat.

At the age of 20, Gray is one of the youngest NASCAR** drivers in the field. He combines his love of racing with entrepreneurship, as he started using products by PURE in August 2018 and hasn’t turned back. He represents the PURE brand both on and off the track each week through the Number 08 Chevrolet team. He will do so for the entire Xfinity season and select Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races throughout 2019, debuting at the Daytona 300 next February.

Gray knows the importance of nutrition and hydration to help him perform at his peak. Racing for hours inside his car, which can get very hot, requires a lot of liquids before race time. On top of that, he’s wearing gloves, a helmet and a leather jacket. Gray takes GPS Hydrate to keep those vital fluids, electrolytes and nutrients flowing, a product that also helps him focus and ultimately drive faster.*

Along with the mental aspect of driving a race car, it requires physical strength, too. When you wrestle a car around a track at high speeds, you need focus. There are other cars going just as fast right next to you and things can happen very quickly. To help him withstand these conditions, he puts himself through intense physical training. The mental strength to focus on everything in his car and on the track at the same time is vital to his performance.

“I start off each day with a shot of GoYin in the morning to give me the daily nutrients I need and to get my mind and body balanced before I get started,” he said. “I enjoy the 360 Complete Shake after a nice workout in the evenings. It’s a great product to provide me with protein after breaking down my muscles from intense workouts. But the best part is that the shakes taste amazing!”

In addition to GPS Hydrate, GoYin and 360 Complete Shake, Gray also consumes ENERGY and the entire GPS product line.

Daren Hogge, PURE CEO, shared, “We are thrilled to have Gray join the PURE family as an IBO. It is an amazing opportunity to support such a great young man developing his businesses both on and off the track. Our partnership with Gray will focus on our entire line of nutritional supplements, specifically Gray’s favorite GPS performance products, ENERGY and GoYin superfruit juice.”
